Welcome to Long Bay Primary School

Kia Ora, and a warm welcome to the Long Bay Primary School website.

Long Bay School is a vibrant, lively and caring learning community where we celebrate learning. Our school mission statement is to ‘provide high quality whole child education that inspires students to become confident, connected, actively-involved life-long learners.’
Our students are supported to achieve personal success, and to develop the skills to be contributing members of their school and active participants in their own learning. Our staff members are dedicated, we are proud of our positive links with the local community and we value a close partnership between the child, home and school.

We aspire for each of our students to enjoy their time at Long Bay. Our students take part in regular specialist classes in the arts (dance, drama and music) and have the opportunity to be involved in a range of sports and experience a wide range of interesting academic and cultural learning experiences

Long Bay Primary caters for students from New Entrant level through to Year 6. Our classes are divided into six teaching teams: Kōwhai (New Entrant – Year 1), Rimu (Year 1/2), Manuka (Year 2/3), Nikau (Year 3/4), Tōtara (Year 4/5) and Kauri (Year 5/6).

Please take the time to browse through our website and share in the events taking place. We hope our site will be informative and provide you with a glimpse of what makes Long Bay Primary School such a special place to be.

Kind regards,

Linda Barton
